"Lightning is no Joke"

Please click on picture for a larger view.
This was a cypress Tree on Hole #4 to the right of the cartpath just before you get to the green. Dr. Harvey's wife Joyce was lucky enough to actually see the lightning hit the tree. We took the tree out this morning due to the amount of damage done by the strike.

This is another reminder that as we get into these afternoon storms to make sure you seek proper shelter on the course. REMEMBER that hiding under a tree is never a good idea (as this picture shows you). Lightning will normally seek a pine tree over an oak and we have had many of strikes on all types of trees on the course. But as you can see, cypress trees tend to explode when hit. Please try to be safe on the course at all times.
